We were delighted to welcome Andrew Douglas (Chair of the UK Accelerated Settlement Technical Group TGT), joining Tim McLeod (Managing Director, Global Head of Securities Lending Operations and Head of International Investment Operations at Blackrock and Chair of the FMSB Non-Economic Trade Data Working Group), and Dale T Braithwait (Managing Director, Global Head of Client Account Services at J.P. Morgan) on Thursday 26 September 2024 to discuss the future FMSB Standard for Sharing of SSIs.

They discussed the process of creating the Standard, potential impact on FMSB Members and the wider industry, and why now is the time for greater standardisation and automation of SSIs against the backdrop of technological advances and the move to T+1 in the UK and beyond.

The Standard is still in Transparency Draft, and to align with the UK TGT interim report, we are extending the deadline for comments to 31 October 2024. The Transparency Draft Standard and the consultation questions can be found here
