We are pleased to announce that Daniel Mayston has assumed the Chair of the FMSB Electronic Trading and Technology Committee (ETTC). Daniel is currently Head of Electronic Trading and Market Structure EMEA at Blackrock. Daniel has represented Blackrock at the FMSB Standards Board for the past 3 years. In his role as Chair of the ETTC, Daniel will oversee the output of the Committee and take a leading role in determining future topics for review. Daniel replaces UBS’s Ciara Quinlan.

Daniel Mayston said: “As asset managers, we particularly appreciate FMSB’s efforts to convene market practitioners and strive for the highest standards of conduct for the global wholesale financial markets. Specifically, we recognise the value in identifying focus areas of best market practices such as the Electronic Trading and Technology Committee’s recently published work on model risk management. With the growth of electronic trading, this work can help support firms in applying their existing model risk frameworks in a proportionate way to electronic trading algorithms.”
